Hi all,
I build custom DJ gear and build custom units out of parts. In a nutshell I add a y component to the already existing x-component for a DJ mixer X-fader. For this I attach the x-fader to a vertical rail mechanism so it can move up and down.
mm precision is not needed but it does need to move smoothly so thus far I have used MGN9C rails (which are about 20x30mm) and a 150mm length rail on each side. These are made of steel and bearings driven. It works OK but is also 'unnecessarily'...
Simple glide rail for vertical movement
