C-Beam bundle Questions

I'm looking at the C-Beam Bundle for a single axis project and I have a couple of questions.

- Will a NEMA 17 step motor fit the end cap supplied in the bundle? I need limited torque for this application so will need to go with either a NEMA 14 or NEMA 17 stepper motor. It appears the bundle is made to work with a NEMA 23 sized stepper motor so I'm unsure a NEMA 17 motor will bolt to the end cap.

- Does the flexible coupling work with both the NEMA 23 and NEMA 17 step motors?

Source for GT3 Pulleys

Anyone know of a source for GT3 pulleys that has competitive pricing? I'm looking for an 8:1 gear ratio with the large pulley around 6" diameter (if possible). Large pulley for a 1" shaft and the smaller pulley would need to fit a 5/8" shaft. Nylon or aluminum would work fine for the larger pulley. Hoping I won't need anything custom made.

Double C-Beam to create an I-Beam

I am trying to design a 4x4 ox, and was planning on doubling the C-Beam to create an I-Beam.
The C-Beams would be bolted together in 4 or 5 locations to create a "solid" beam.
1500mm C-Beams would be used to allow room for gantry, clamping, etc.
Thoughts? or Experience? I've searched the forums, but didn't see anything like this.

Hi there, fellow open builders, Heres a video of my camera edge finder arrangement and offset macro.

This idea has been around a while but thought I'd share as I think it's wicked, makes setup much quicker. You don't have to use a screen, Mach 3 and uccnc have a webcam plugins that have crosshair overlays that are in fact better, only you need a usb video adapter and I find they are slightly resource heavy, and this old laptop wasn't really up to it so the screen in my case works better. Hi There..

Thought id post this idea i have rattling around since the cbeam came available for what i believe could be the strongest ox yet. I'm undecided about building another at the moment as i simply don't require another but thought id share the idea.

The design is pretty rough but the fundamentals are there. Design below is 1500 x 1500 - cutting area something like 1250 x 1250

Hi All,
I'm in the process of building my own version of the Ox (Calling it the Beaver as all I cut is wood). As such I've been able to talk with a local manufacturing company that specializes in waterjet cutting high tolerance parts. The accuracy is +/- 0.001" so for gantry plate needs we are in business. As these seem to be the hardest parts to find I figure I can offer these to people looking to setup their own Ox based system.

These are based on the "V-Slot OX_Build_81_DXF Plates.dxf"...

Hey guys,
I have an Ooznest OX CNC for sale. It's a completely built/working/running machine with all electronics. It is ready to be turned on and machine a part. I have only used it to make 2 items...one wood and one aluminum. I will post some pictures this evening so you can see what I have. It uses the xPRO CNC Controller. You get the entire shabang!
