Hi i'm not new to this site but new to the forum.
I have an old victor torch pattern cutter that i would like to transform into a cnc machine.
This way i dont need to make a pattern every time i need a small part.
Any ideas. I can post a pic of it in the future if that helps.

C-Beam - My thoughts
Hi all new to the forum and cnc
Just a few thoughts and issues with the C-beam kit/bundle
This kit was purchased from a uk supplier - what I have since found out is packaged by them
First of the issues was Missing and wrong parts 5 missing nuts, wrong size washers for the z axis and 3 missing 3mm spacers, A simple build made that bit more frustrating, got the kit 60% built to find the lots of the M5 - 8mm bolts are 10mm - another 2 days wasted - another thing that seemed wrong was the...

Question about belts and pulleys.
I have been playing in SW for a few weeks and something is really bothering me and that is that I can't find a way to make the GT2 belt line up straight with any plate using 20mm x 20mm V-Rail. We have the pulley and we have the Nema 17 with a toothed gear and the nema plate and what I don't like is the idea of the belt (either under or over) going at an angle to the V-Slot 20mm Gantry plate. The closer the plate gets to the pulling side the more the plate will try and follow the belt so if...

Small 3-wheel plate for 40mm sections
I've seen several comments lamenting the lack of a small 3-wheel plate for use with 40mm sections (mainly among the delta printer crowd) and as it turns out, the hole spacing in the Idler Pulley Plates is ideal for use with mini-V wheels and if you are willing to ream out one of the holes these plates are easily modded for just such a purpose. I used a step bit and the plate cut like butter.

The Hox
Hi There..
Thought id post this idea i have rattling around since the cbeam came available for what i believe could be the strongest ox yet. I'm undecided about building another at the moment as i simply don't require another but thought id share the idea.
The design is pretty rough but the fundamentals are there. Design below is 1500 x 1500 - cutting area something like 1250 x 1250

Z axis rigidity
As I have started using my Ox (Cebu) more, I've noticed some flex in the z axis. At first I thought it was the x axis beams, and was planning to bolt them together. However, it seems like the x axis beams are fairly stable, and the flex is coming from the z axis components themselves. The z axis extrusion with motor on top can move back a bit without moving the x axis beams. The carriage wheels on the z axis assembly are quite tight against the x axis.
It looks like the flex is coming from...
